Disney Trip Tips

*     The time has come and you need to start packing for your vacation.  I've used the following packing list from www.themouseforless.com.   Here it is http://www.themouseforless.com/downloads/trip/UltimatePackingList/UltimatePackingList-.pdf

*     You may not know that Walt Disney World offers discounts.  Check out the special offers here http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/special-offers/  Another good source for deals relating to all things Disney is www.mousesavers.com

*     If you need a car rental for a few days of your vacation, check out the Car Care Center at the Magic Kingdom.  Alamo and National rental cars are available here.  The Car Care Center offers a shuttle to pick you up from a Disney hotel and take you to pick up the rental car.  When returning the car, the shuttle will transport you back to your Disney resort.  The local phone number is (407)824-3470.

*     When redeeming a counter service entitlement at a resort restaurant and don't know what counts as a snack, a drink, an entree or a dessert, just ask.  The cast members at the registers are very knowledgeable.  I never had a cast member dismiss my question.  One cast member at Pop Century even welcomed me to her line.

*     Did you know you can call the phone booths in Canada and the United Kingdom in EPCOT?  Yes, these phone are in fact live.  The phone number for the Canadian phone booth is 407.827.9884.  The phone numbers for the UK booths are 407.827.9861, 407.827.9862 and 407.827.9863.  If you call and get a fax sound after a few rings, hang up and try a few minutes later. This sound means no one is picking up your call.  I tried it and it can be fun.  However, my family has now banned me from doing this any more.
